In photo one I actually learned a lot about photography I never knew. I always thought it was really easy but turns out it was actually harder than I thought. I learned how to use photoshop and that was definitely an adventure! There was so many gadgets to learn about I was scared! I always thought photographers just messed with the image a little bit by changing the color. Oh boy how I was so wrong! I learned that we could cut things out and place them on other images! Photo one was obviously not my best work at all!

In my year of photo one I was definitely not as good at taking pictures as I thought! Looking back at my images I realize they are pretty hard to look at. They look kind of messy and all over the place. Its obvious I needed a lot of help because they're not that great! When I went back to my website I had to question myself and ask "what was I doing!!"

One thing photo one made me realize was that you have to be comfortable with who you're photographing because sometimes you have to get in their face just to get a good image! I also learned that I can't be shy because i may be the person in front of the camera! The most important thing I will always remember was the fact that I have to be the person who poses the model. But because I'm not very good at this, I decided that in photo two I will just take pictures of objects!

Photo two pushed me past my limits. I was forced to test myself and see if I can get my images turned in on time. This year I learned a lot more on how to edit my photos. I also learned about all of the settings on the camera. In photo one we were only using one setting but this year we had to be the ones to change the settings based on what we were shooting. Let me just say, it was pretty confusing remembering everything that was needed. When I took my neon sign pictures I had to have the camera in "S" setting!

I'm not going to lie, I think I improved A LOT this year. I don't want to sound cocky either but these images from photo two are way better than my old ones. I think my all time favorite project that I worked on were the creepy photos. Those took up a lot of my time editing but they were honestly my best ones. Last year in photo one I didn't even know how to cut images out and place them on other ones. So I definitely improved a lot in the past year.

These past two years of being photography really made me look at the world in a different perspective. Now every time I drive past something cool I think "wow that would be fun to take pictures of" or "I think I like that for my next project idea" This class really made me think about how much fun being a professional photographer would be.
