Blur Motion Journal (9.24.18)
1. Blur Motion is the ability to take a picture of a subject with some type of movement. The background can be focused while the subject is moving around. Or the subject and be focused and the background will be the one moving.
2. All you need in order to get a blur motion photo is a subject (model), a background and a camera. You can't just use your phone and expect the pictures to come out good. You need a camera that is going to allow you to change the shutter speed to a really low number so that your photo comes out blurry.
3. In class when we went to shoot our model was our classmates. The easiest thing for our model to do was spin. It was also better for the photographer so that they were able to get a clear picture. We will also try to get our models to jump but I'm not quite sure if the camera will pick up what we want. Our models will also push themselves on a chair so it looks like they are zooming by.
4. In order to get a blur motion photo we need to change the shutter speed to a very low number. If its at a higher number the shutter speed will go really fast and it won't pick up the model spinning. So this means we must change it to a real low number in order for it to get the model looking blurry but not too blurry.

This image was taken along the side walk and it was focused on the car while everything else is out of focus.

This picture was focused on how the ferris wheel is spinning. It seems like its moving really really fast.

The dice is being thrown next to the one that is already in focus and looks blurry.

The yellow ball is being launched against the 4 balls that are in focus

The swings are spinning around and the trees in the background are out of focus

All the pool table balls are going towards the eight ball in the middle

The dog is in focus and the background looks as if the world is spinning in circles.

The person on the bike took the picture looking down at the ground so it looks like he's speeding

The photographer is standing at the top of the stairs and pointing the camera down as people walk by

The little girl is in focus and the background is out of focus

The Eiffel tower is in focus & the people in front are blurry

The girl is in focus while her hair is moving crazy

The fidget spinner and background are out of focus while the hand is in focus

The girl is moving her head back and forth and it looks as if there were a ghost next to her

The train is moving very rapidly and the man in front of it is just standing there in focus.

The person taking this photo is standing in front of the kid and it makes it look like it is spinning really fast

The bird's moving his head back & forth & the photographer got it looking like he is standing to the side

The photographer took the picture standing on the outside of the swings

The person is moving his head back and forth so that it will look like his face is peeling off

The football player with the ball is running and the defense team is blurry

The people are walking around but it looks as if there are a bunch of them

The man is doing different poses quickly so that it looks like he's being pulled apart

The man is jump roping and the jump rope is out of focus

The lady is spinning in her dress and it looks big
The Lady is standing there and behind her is another position she did
Forced Perspective Journal

1. This image is of a man who is standing in the field and holding a piece of string. The man is facing forward and you can only see his back. It looks as though he was holding the moon like a balloon.
2. This image uses forced perspective by making the person looking at the image think he is actually holding the moon as if it were a balloon. I don't think the person who took this image used any kind of photoshop.
3. I honestly don't know how they made this image. I have no idea how they got the string to stand up like that. I think maybe they had a crooked looking stick and used that instead of a string.
4. If i made this image I would have probably make the subject look at the camera as if they were in shock because they were holding the moon. I would probably switch out the adult with a kid so that it looks even more exciting.
5. I feel that if the photographer stood closer to the subject then the picture would not have come out as good as it did. The depth of field in this picture was perfect because everything in the image is clear.
1. This picture shows a lady. The lady looks as if the world was sideways and she's about to fall off the face of the Earth. She is holding onto a tree and her face looks scared.
2. This image uses forced perspective because it tricks people into believing that the woman is really about to fall. It also wasn't changed in any way using photoshop.
3. I think the lady laid down on the floor and held onto the tree. She then made her legs and face look like she was struggling. The photographer then went and laid down next to her and took the image.
4. I don't think i would change the way these people took the picture. I really like the way they caught my attention. the one thing i would thing i would probably change would be the fact that nothing else looks like its falling. I would throw leaves.
5. The depth of field changed this image because if it were closer or further the image would look out of focus and not as good.

1. This image is of 2 people. The people look like they're standing on a banana. The 2 women have their knees bent and they are holding hands. The banana is used as a little bridge.
2. This image uses forced perspective by making the people look smaller than the banana. The fact that the people can use the banana as a bridge allows this image to be considered forced perspective.
3. I think the photographer laid the banana on the ground and then decided to use it as a bridge. The photographer made the 2 women stand really far back so that they look small. He also made tea stand on something a little higher so that they sound be leveled with the top of the banana,
4. I wouldn't change very much in this picture. I would probably only change the fact that they're equating. Everything would be the same except they would be standing up straight and holding hands.
5. The line of sight and depth of field affect this image because of how it looks. If the photographer was too close the image would look like a mess. The 2 women are perfectly lined in the line of sight. If they were too far back or too close they wouldn't look like thy were standing on top of the banana.
1. This image is of a mans hand looking like its about to knock down a hot air balloon. His hand is in a fist and the only finger that is standing out is his index finger. The balloon is leaning to its side as if it were poked.
2. This image uses forced perspective because the mans hand is portrayed as the bigger object. In reality the hot air balloon is bigger.
3. They took this image by placing the mans hand really close to the camera, so that it looks big. Then as the balloon was being put down he took his index finger out. This made it look as if it was him who knocked it down.
4. I would've probably taken this picture by making it seem as if the man were holding the balloon. He would put his hand above the balloon and look like he were picking it up.
5. The line of sight and depth of field worked good in this image. Everything was lined up perfectly.

1. This picture is of a man and a woman on the beach. The lady is laying on her stomach on top of a towel. The man is sitting on a beach chair. There is a hand that is placing a little umbrella in order to cover them.
2. This image uses forced perspective by using the little umbrella to protect the people from the sun. The umbrella they are using is one from the drinks that people use. The fact that the umbrella s used to cover them is a sign of forced perspective.
3. The photographer had the people set up and get ready for the beach. He then decided to use the mini umbrella to make this image look more interesting. He had someone hold it really close to the camera so that it looks normal sized.
4. I would probably change the fact that the man is sitting in a chair. It would look better if he were setting up the umbrella. That would change everything and make the image look a little more like a forced perspective picture.
5. The line of sight was used very well in this image. The umbrella was set perfectly to seem the normal size. The depth of field was also set up good.
1. This picture shows a man who looks as if he were standing on a swing. The man looks smaller than the swing. He also has his hands on his hips.
2. This image uses forced perspective because the man looks as if he were standing on the swing. But he actually looks smaller than it. He looks like a little doll.
3. The photographer made the subject stand really far back from the swing. When he looked far enough the photographer got really close to the swing. He did this so that the swing would look really big and the subject would look small.
4. The only thing i would change in this image is the way the subject has his hands on his hips. I think it would look better if he had them up. If he had them up it would look like he's trying to hold on and not fall.
5. The line of sight and depth of field are really good in this image. Everything is clean and he actually looks like he is smaller than the swing.

1. In this picture we see a man who is using the sunset as a soccer ball. He is on one foot and using the other foot to hold the sun. His hand are in the air as if he were trying to gain balance.
2. This image uses forced perspective because he looks as if he were actually playing soccer with the sun. We all know that the sun is extremely huge. But in this picture it seems like sun the is this tiny object that can be kicked around.
3. I believe this image was created by a lot of patience. The photographer knew this would take time. When the time was perfect the subject stood there and acted like he was playing soccer.
4. If i took this picture i would probably change the fact that that the subject is alone. I would make it look like he was working with or going against someone else. Like an actual mini soccer game with the sun.
5. The depth of field and line of sight worked well together. The man looks like he is actually playing with the sun.
Independent Project Proposal #1

1. I decided to go with a polaroid inside of a photograph for my first independent project. It's a pretty simple idea. You take a picture of something (subject) with your polaroid camera. Then you take the subject out of the shot and take another picture with your regular camera. Don't forget you need the polaroid image in your shot.
2. Well I'm probably going to need to take 2 shots for every image. One without the subject and another with the subject. Then when I need to edit I will crop the subject out of the old image and place it in the new one. Im also going to need to get the film for the polaroid in my shot so it looks like I'm holding it.
3. The specific thing I need for my images would be the polaroid frame. Without it my images wouldn't be called "polaroid inside a photograph". The other main thing I would need is a subject. I need a model (or item) that I can crop out so that it looks like its in the polaroid.
4. These images that I will be shooting will most likely be shot outside. That way the image looks more vibrant. Another reason Im shooting them outside is because there are more possibilities that I can do.
5. I wanted to do this type of photography for my project because I think it's unique. I haven't seen this before until I started to look for ideas. I also wanted to do this because I love polaroids and I think bringing back the old and trying to modernize it would be really cool.

Independent Project Proposal #2

1. For this project, I decided to go with is creepy photography. Some images will have dark mothers holding their children. Others will have puppets being controlled. A bunch of them will have my little sister in them.
2. For one of my shots i will have my little sister sitting in the bathtub placing her hands in the sky. In another I will make her look like a puppet and have her stand up against a wall. In a different photo i will have to find someone who has a baby and have them dress up as a dark mother.
3. The main thing I will need for my images is a subject. Im thinking of using my little sister, best friend, mom and hopefully my brother. The time of day would have to be in the afternoon when the sun is about to go down or just some time in the afternoon.
4. Some of my images will be shot at the rio grande river so that i can get some trees in my shot. Most of them I will dress my little sister up and make her look creepy. She will also have her makeup done. This will give her more of the creepy look that I want. I even want to shoot some pictures in Old Town so that it has some more creepy affect to it.
5. I wanted to try doing this kind of photography for this project because its different. I love looking at creepy pictures and i thought it would be cool to try it myself. I also knew Mrs.Caruso loves creepy images and I wanted to push myself to try something I have never done before.

Independent Project Proposal #3
1. For this project I am going to shoot street art. I really enjoy looking at the cool art people make. I also love exploring. So this project is perfect for me. I will be able to explore the city while taking pictures!
2. For these images I will have my mom drive me around town and we will look for art. Once we find some we can get down and explore by foot. I will then mess with the camera and take the image.
3. The most specific things i will need for these images is the art itself and the sunlight. I don't think these images will look good if they're shot in the dark. I think it will be very difficult to try to shoot these in the dark because i won't be able to drive around and see them like i want to.
4. Im going to shoot these images throughout the city. There is no specific place i will go. Maybe Nob hill? but these images can be shot anywhere. Its not like I can bring the art home with me so i can shoot them there!
5. I want to try these images because i feel like everyone uses the same ideas. I want to explore as well. I like to choose ideas that are unique. I want to be able to see the hidden art that people create
On the bottom and the side of my proposal are some ideas of street art

Independent Project Proposal #4
1. For independent project #4 I am going to shoot pictures of neon lights. Preferably the neon lights that are on stores. Something like the signs. I really like to look at the colors so why not photograph them?
2. Im going to have to mess with the settings a lot on the camera in order to get the perfect images. I will also have to have perfect timing. These images require a lot of patience
3. I will definitely need a neon sign that i really like. I will also probably use a model but I'm not sure about that quite yet. I will also need a person to drive me around town while i keep a look out for neon signs.
4. I am probably going to shoot these images all around town. My favorite place to see neon lights is in Nob Hill. So I will probably go there and shoot. The BEST time to go is in the night so i will have to wait.
5. I want to do this style because I had to change my idea since all my other images got deleted. I accidentally washed my SD card and all of my other original images for project 4 got erased so I had to change my project.

Independent Project Proposal #5
1. For project #5 I am most likely going to shoot images for creepy looking dolls. Mrs.Caruso loved the little bit of images I had on project #3 so I thought why not give her more dolls to look at? I also really like the way creepy dolls look!
2. For this I can really just point and shoot. I don't think it will be that hard since the dolls don't move (I hope). I would really just have to ask for permission in the store I go to since its kind of an art store.
3.I will definitely need a doll of course! I might even experiment and use a model. But since these images are supposed to be of creepy dolls I might just us the doll for the image.
4. I am more than likely going to shoot these images in Nob Hill at my favorite store Strange Factory. I think I will even shoot some images down in old town since that place is usually creepy. I'm pretty sure they will have some kind of weird/creepy dolls i can take pictures of.
5. I want to shoot this style of photography because Mrs.Caruso likes creepy things. I also like to be a little bit different and take weird images than everyone else.
